Guillermo Almaguer began training in Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido in 2002 under Hocker Sensei at an Iaido class held at Tumbleweed Aikikai part of Aikido Association of America with Sensei Zeljko Jericevic as dojo cho. He achieved Shodan in Aikido with Aikido Association of America in 2004 and later Nidan with Hiroshi Kato Sensei in the Shudokan Aikido Association in 2007. Currently he teaches Aikido at Tumbleweed Aikikai on Tuesdays and Wednesdays located in Katy, Texas. He achieved his Shodan in Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido in 2007 and continues to study at Houston San Shin Kai.
